Tristan, the tiny twin foal, is growing up — against all odds. He was one of two foals born March 18 on a farm in Laurel Hill. He was a surprise, the second and decidedly smaller foal to come out.

**Sorry about the spotty camera work, lot’s of commotion going on at the time** When we went to visit my parents for Thanksgiving, in Arizona, one of their mares decided to drop her horse about a month earlier than planned. When we got there it was about 6 hours old. It’s amazing how quickly they get to their feet. Half of the time, while out in the pasture, the baby was just laying on the ground at it’s mother’s feet resting in the Autumn sunshine.
